Summary

Walter Neff sells insurance to Phyllis Dietrichson but is sold on murder instead. They take out accident insurance and kill her husband on a train to collect the double indemnity. Neff's supervisor figures out the scam and closes in on them. Neff learns from the dead man's daughter than Phyllis had killed her mother and married her dad. Neff kills Phyllis to cover his tracks. He has a last minute change of heart, sets the daughter up for love, confesses his crimes, and dies.

Neff kills Phyllis. He changes his mind about Lola's boyfriend and tells him the truth about Lola.

Neff confesses to Keyes and dies.
